Our appointment and Fee Structure
APPOINTMENT TYPES
The Nutrition Hub offer both in-clinic and Telehealth appointments for your convenience.
Telehealth consults are offered as a phone appointment or a ‘zoom’ style appointment using our secure practice software.
Initial Assessments: 60 minutes.
Subsequent Consults: 20-30 minutes.
OUR FEES
Please note, we are not a bulk billing practice and therefore payment is required at the time of consultation and can be made by debit/credit card. If you will not be able to pay at the time of your appointment please arrange payment prior with our admin team.
Credit card authorisation is requested to secure your initial appointment.
Please be advised that our consult fees will increase on the 1st of January to allow The Nutrition Hub to continue to provide high quality consults.
$160 Initial Assessment (45-60 minutes) - Fee increasing to $170 as of January 1st
$95 Subsequent appointments (30 minutes) - Fee increasing to $100 as of January 1st
$135 Extended reviews (45min consult time) - Fee increasing to $145 as of January 1st
Extended appointments are for more complex conditions and are recommended for gut health concerns, eating disorder reviews, and food therapy clients. Outside of these your dietitian will discuss if they think a longer consult time would be of benefit.
Home visits (not including third party payer arrangements under the NDIS)
Home visits: $225/hour.
*Please note that in order to provide this service our practitioners travel time (if over 15 minutes) will also need to accounted for. For more information regarding home visits, or to book this option please contact our wonderful administration team via phone or email.
WHEN & WHERE
Consults are currently available at our Ipswich clinic on a Tuesday (with Libby) and a Wednesday (with Sophie).
Telehealth consults will continue to be available Tuesday - Friday

Our admin team are available to help you with your enquiries between 9am and 3pm Tuesday and Thursday.
PAYMENT AND REBATES
Payment is required in full during the time of your appointment, and may be requested prior to a telehealth appointment.
PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE:
If you hold private health insurance, and are covered for appointments with a dietitian, our friendly admin staff will process your payment and send you through your receipt so you can claim online with your health fund. If you are unsure if your private health insurer will cover your appointments, please contact your insurer directly and ask if your policy covers face to face and/or telehealth appointments with an Accredited Practicing Dietitian. Unfortunately, we are unable to check this information for you or claim private health rebates through our system.
MEDICARE:
The Nutrition Hub accepts Medicare referrals including Medicare Enhanced Primary Care Plans (EPC referrals), and Eating Disorder Treatment Plans (EDT Plans). If you are eligible for a Medicare rebatable referral we can submit your claim to Medicare on your behalf after the consult fee is paid. Medicare will usually provide a rebate of $60 to your nominated bank account in 1-2 business days.
Please ensure your Medicare referral is addressed to The Nutrition Hub.

Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION / FAILURE TO ATTEND
We kindly request at least 24 hours notice if you are unable to make your scheduled appointment. Failure to do so prevents other clients the opportunity to use the booking and is unfair to your practitioner’s time. A late cancellation fee of 50% of the consult fee (non-rebatable) will be charged in the instance of a late cancellation or no-show. Should this occur on more than one occasion our administration staff may request advance payment at the time of booking a subsequent appointment.
We understand that there are some circumstances where late cancellations are unavoidable, and we are happy to make exceptions in these cases. Please contact us as early as possible if this happens.
* Advance payments due to the above circumstances are non-refundable in the event of failure to attend / late cancellation.
IF YOU ARE RUNNING LATE
If you are running late, please contact us to notify us and discuss your options in order to reduce disruptions to other client’s appointments.
COLD AND FLU
If you are experiencing any cold or flu like symptoms or are a close contact of someone with COVID-19, please contact the clinic to arrange for a Telehealth appointment or reschedule.
